CME in Dermatology was conducted by Dept of Dermatology on 29/6/2008, Sunday at SSIMS & RC Davangere.

HOD Decided to conduct CME after discussion with dean & a convenient date was selected. He approached the sponsors & GSK came forward to sponsor our CME.

All the staff & PG’s of various Medical College & consultants from Davangere district were invited. Guest speakers Dr.Raghavendra Tophkhane, Prof & head & Dr.Ravi.M Rathod, Prof, KIMS, Hubli, accepted the invitation.

On the day on CME, about 50-60 delegates including PG’s registered for CME, registration was free.

The Inaugural function started with Invocation & welcome speech by Dr.Jagannath Kumar .V & the CME programme was Inaugurated by chief guest Dean Dr.Kanterava Balasraswathi. Medical Superintendent Dr.Chandra Mohan, Prof & head JJMMC Dr.Murugesh & guest Invitees by lightening the lamp. Our dean addressed the delegates & appreciated the programme, vote of thanks was given by Dr. Madura .C

Topic for CME was ‘Pediatric Neuro Cutaneous Syndromes’ which was discussed by Dr. Prasad B.S Director of Neonatology & Prof. of Pediatrics SSIMS&RC, Davangere

CME Programme for post graduate students and consultants was conducted by the Dept of Dermatology on 29/11/2013, Wednesday at LT-4, SSIMS & RC, Davangere.

All the staff members / Teaching faculty/ PG’s from SSIMS&RC & JJMMC, general practitioners consultants & staff attended the CME.

on the day of CME, about 75 delegates registered. Registration was free.

CUTICON- 2015

The state dermatology conference Cuticon-2015 had been organized by SSIMS&RC , JJMMC & DDA under the dynamic leadership of Dr.Jagannath Kumar V , Prof & HOD ,SSIMS&RC (Joint. Org. Secretary) &Dr.S.B Murugesh , Prof & HOD JJMMC (org Secretary) on 28th& 29th of Nov 2015 at SSIMS premises.

Record number of delegates for any state skin conference were present on the occasion.

Chief guest Shri Dr.ShamanurShivashankarappa, Chairman, JJM Medical college, Hon.Secretary, Bapuji Educational Association Cabinet minister for Horticulture and Agricultural Marketing Govt. of Karnataka & Sri S.S. Mallikarjun, MLA., Hon. Joint Secretary, Bapuji Educational Association & Chairman SSIMS&RC, graced the occasion with their impressive speeches.

Many renowned dermatologists presented scientific papers. All the Professors, Staffs & PGs of SSIMS&RC and JJMMC actively participated in the event.

The highlight of the program was the felicitation of Dr.Siddappa and Dr.Karibasappa for their meritorious services during the occasion.

Post graduates Dr.Madhuri and Dr.Vishal M B of SSIMS&RC presented scientific papers during the conference.

e - CME on “Disorders of Pigmentation” - 27/12/2020

An e-CME Program on pigmentary disorders was conducted by department of Dermatology, SSIMS & RC, Davangere, in association with IADVL- Karnataka Branch on 27thof December, 2020. The Program was held on Zoom platform. A total of 158 delegates from different institutions and practicing dermatologists throughout Karnataka had registered for the e-CME. The Inaugural function started with an Invocation song. The Welcome address was given by Dr.JagannathKumar.V, Professor and HOD, Dept. of dermatology, SSIMS & RC. Dr.B.S Prasad, Principal, SSIMS&RC blessed the occasion. The inaugural speech was given by Dr. N K Kalappanavar, Medical Director, SS Hospital, followed by presidential speech by Dr. Shashikumar B M, President, IADVL-KN. DERMABASICS-2022

The department of Dermatology Venereology & Leprosy, SSIMSR&RC Davangere had organised “DERMABASICS-2022” in association with IADVL-Karnataka Branch. This is a attending program for 1st year dermatology residents on 19th June 2022.

The inaugural function started with invocation & welcome speech by Dr.Manjunath Hulmani & inauguration was done by chief guest, Dr.B.S Prasad ,Principal SSIMS&RC & IADVL Karnataka.Presidents Dr.Ravi Rathod,Dr. Savitha A S,Dr.Manjunath Hulmani ,Dr. Shashikumar B M, Dr. Smitha Prabhu by lightening the lamp. Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Naveen Kumar A C, Assistant Professor.
