The department had organized a CME on “Clinical Research” on 24th October 2009, in collaboration with Consortium Clinical Research Pvt.ltd., Coimbatore. A new ‘‘Department of Clinical research” was also inaugurated on that day. This department is established with the goal of conducting clinical trails which can enrich medical fraternity with more safer and effective medications. Principal, Dr.P Nagaraj presided over the function and Dr. V.V Subbareddy, Principal, College of Dental Sciences, Davangere was the chief guest. Dr Umakant Patil, Prof & HOD, Pharmacology welcomed the gathering and Dr, Venkatesh M. Patil rendered vote of thanks. 2. Two Original research artificats (Poster) were presented in National Conference on Medical Biotechnology & Clinical Research on. 2nd & 3rd October 2009. Jointly organized by Department of Biotechnology, MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore-560054 and Department of Biotechnology, Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore-562157.
