Department of orthopaedics
conducted CME\ Live Workshop on 30th October 2009. The function
was inaugurated by Dr. G. Nagaraj-Prof and HOD, Dept of orthopaedics,
JJMMC.
The theme of CME\Workshop
was on Bone Transportation and Deformity correction. The national
faculties were Dr. Prasad P.N.V.S.V from Kammam, (AP) and Dr. Govardhan
from Chennai. Lectures were given by both the faculty members on
principles, basic techniques of the procedure, indications and
complications of the procedure and also on difficult case planning and
management.
About 80 delegates took the
advantage of audio visual coverage of the live surgery performed by Dr
Prasad on one of the difficult cases of infected # nonunion of Tibia with
bone loss and interacted with them. The organizing committee was headed by
Dr Anil S Nelivigi Prof and HOD, Dept of Orthopaedics S.S.I.M.S and Dr G
Nagaraj Prof and HOD Dept of Orthopaedics, J.J.M.M.C. Davangere.
