Lymphangioma circumscripta Introduction It is a malformation of lymphatic channels. It is characterized by a local eruption of grouped, thin walled translucent vesicles. It is harmartoma of lymphatic vessels. Case report A 35-years old man presented with asymptomatic skin colored tiny lesion on the thigh of 1 year duration, gradually increasing in numbers. There is no history of local application of irritant, no history of the family members with similar complaints. On examination, grouped thin walled vesicles of skin colored present on medial aspect of left thigh. It is extending downwards in linear fashion. His routine investigations were in normal limits. Discussion Lymphangioma cirumscriptum are of 2 types, classic & localized. In both forms small, clustered, thin walled vesicles of varying sizes resembling frog spawn. The fluid is colorless to yellow; vesicular lesions may become hyperkeratosis or verrucous with time. Classic LC lesions appear at birth or shortly later & become profuse in childhood. Pectoral & pelvic girdle areas and proximal portion of limbs are often involved. In Localized type there is no predilection for site and lesions may be noted at any age. Treatment is superficial destruction of lesions by cauterization or cryosurgery, superficial excision may result in recurrence, and it may require deep excision. Recently carbon dioxide & tunable dye lasers are used successfully.
